Using a dashboard provides easy access to insightful data, and filters can enhance the depth of the analysis. With the right information readily available, decision-making becomes faster and more accurate.
Cancellations
Analysis
The state with most cancelled flights in percentage is Vermont with a 4.605%. But in absolute value there are only 7 flights cancelled. The main reason for the flight cancellations is National Air System.
In absolute value, Texas is the state with more flights cancelled, with a total of 661 flights cancelled. Its most common cancellation reason is Weather.
Delays
Analysis
The top plot shows a positive linear correlation between Total flights and Delays by Airline, i.e., the more flights and airline operates the higher number of delays it has.
Southwest is the airline with both, more delays and more operating flights. In average, the higher delays by reason is Late Aircraft Delay.
Spirit Air Lines is the airline with longest delays on average.

About the dataset
The data comes from a Kaggle dataset, it tracks the on-time performance of US domestic flights operated by large air carriers in 2015.
About the design
Throughout the entire project, the election of color has been the color-blind palette instead of the predefined one, mainly to be more inclusive and avoid distraction.
